Fallowfield Stables

We focus on making your time at the barn an enjoyable and educational experience.  In addition to actual lesson time, riders are required to assist in preparing their horse for the lesson, and untacking it after the ride.  Good horsemanship comes from confident and conscientious horse handling and is a must at Fallowfield Stables.

All riders must initially take at least 2 private lessons.  Once they have learned the necessary skills, they may either remain in a private lesson or move to an age and skill-level appropriate group lesson.  Lessons are scheduled on a weekly basis and occur every day except Tuesday and Thursday.  Private lessons are 30 minutes long, while group lessons last an hour and consist of 3-5 riders.

Once students progress to a suitable level of skill, Fallowfield also offers several horses and ponies for lease.  Leasing allows interested riders to care for a horse of their own several days a week, without the commitment and expense of horse ownership.  Please note that all children leasing a horse must be under the direct supervision of an adult at all times.  

Note:  Riding lessons are not included in the lease price.  

With our large indoor arena, lessons are almost never cancelled due to rain or snow.  For cold weather, our indoor ring offers a heated observation room; so that you can relax in comfort while watching your child ride (or avoid freezing while waiting for your lesson).
